If those players are good enough then Ings or Immobile or any other good CF in their prime wouldnt be guaranteed a starting place would they?

Why are you so afraid of our young players having competition / mentors to learn from?

Because they have enough competition between each other. And at the same time we have like 3 other useful players in the whole squad.

First off let's cross that bridge when we get there.

I wouldn't spend big on a striker. Either keep Tosun (honestly as an option for the odd Thursday night why not? We are losing money on him if we sell) or I'd sign someone on the cheap.

Even then 3 strikers, Walcott as an emergency measure and the ability to change formations if necessary should be enough.

No issue with trying to get a proven goalscorer in, but if your calling Danny Ings a proven goalscorer than I doubt many will agree.

Hes having a great season, but proven goalscorers break 10 goals more than once in their career.

Its like calling DCL a proven goalscorer based on this season.

I might be wrong but didn't he get double digits with Burnley the only other time he was healthy for most of the year?

Really think he's Sturridge like in that he will score if he plays. But he won't play.

Any new rules will probably be phased in I would imagine, cant imagine they will just turn round and say SELL ALL YOUR FORENS NOW.

Doubt it will that extreme, but there is certainly a degree of uncertainty.

The English premium will go through the roof tho short term, I mean this summer anybody who has a HG player is going to be able to stick a big chunk on top.

Hence me saying once, I realise hes done it this season as well, but im considering this season an outlier.

Last year even he was decent, but injuries.

I wouldn't sign him. He isn't that good. But if we somehow had him already, I'd want him to stay too.

The striker at Celtic looks to be another player up there who is too good for the league. Only 21 and scores plenty goals but looks a good all round player too.
