Worth remembering that the Greggs wanted to own the stadium and lease it Everton .
Given that their sole interest was the stadium , this would have been a less than ideal position for us.
We have seen clubs surrender ownership of their stadiums end up in very tricky situations in the past.
It might of worked out but then again it might have been a bad mistake.
We will of course never know.

I always thought that Gregg's plan was to finance the stadium and then sell for what would have been a massive profit on (I think) a £30m investment, which I wouldn't have begrudged. I could be misremembering, though.

Still, at least Kirkby never happened.

No one knows. I choose to believe it because Everton had a scout watching (allegedly) and he's the young profile.

Everton have been knocked down the list of relevant clubs. Carlo helps, but doesn't erase all the recent failures.

I know not everyone wanted Hojberg, but us having similar player targets to spurs and them choosing spurs is really starting to chap my ass.
