Ridiculous exercise as illustrated below, but our starting line up assuming we land the three we have been linked with (Allan, Doucoure and Florenzi). Immediately our front six looks immeasurably stronger than what we dished out post lockdown.

Stekelenberg, Keane, Gbamin, Delph, Florenzi, Walcott, Gordon

(Delph could cover LB/CM, Florenzi could cover RB/CM/RW, Walcott RW, Gordon LM/LW)

That would leave Branthwaite, Iwobi, Davies, Siggurdsson, Bernard, LB cover, Kenny/RB cover out of the team/surplus to requirements.

Apparently David Ornstein (I think he's a journalist for the Athletic) saying we are interested in Ocampos if Sevilla.

Just watched a YT vid of him. 3 minutes it took me to conclude the lad is work class. Not sure how realistic he is though.

No further developments though regarding the players you've mentioned.

Yes, but it wouldn't be great for morale if they all know they've been transfer listed.

But if the players concerned are not in the managers plans anyway then morale is kinda irrelevant, the wages of some of these players are strangling the club and we need to find a way of moving some of them on.

He does not look your typical winger. Would do a job at centre half.
