All done for Allan's move to Everton by Ancelotti. Today's edition of Tuttosport reveals the figures of the Brazilian midfielder's imminent move to the Premier League: "As far as Allan is concerned, the Liverpool club's offer of 27 million pounds (plus bonuses) has been accepted to hand Ancelotti the midfielder he had enjoyed at Napoli and whom he considers indispensable for his team next season. To the 30 million euros (about) for the sale of Allan - explains the newspaper - it will be necessary to add the 70 for Koulibaly".

I presume that means Napoli need the 70 for Koulibaly off anyone not us paying it for him as well. Never can tell with some of these translations at times.

Let's hope so eh?
Amongst all the click bait stories these past few weeks, the Allen topic seems the most realistic.
Get it done Everton.

Whew. One down.

I dont think Tonali has ever been achievable.

There will be lots of players sold that we should have bought, but sadly we really arent a club people want to join at the moment sadly.

We have nothing to offer young up and coming players and it wont change till we can get at least get Europe or get our name in the mix.

Not a big fan of Donkeree, but he does have some degree of talent, just hope hes got some fight in him.
Allan is very highly rated, so hopefully he can fit into the league ASAP.

Carlo aint here to play, hes here to compete from next month, whether we can get the right players to do that time will tell.

But as for your 3 boys we can just pick 1 of them up when they flop at their new clubs.

I think any player with half a brain and is seen as up and coming would not commit to us unless they sound out what other options are availible to them.
Its why we dont necesarilly get the players in as soon as the transfer window opens.
Its abit of a cat/mouse game, seeing who bigger, more attractive clubs are looking at and then picking up the scraps once the others have picked and approached there targets

I posted similar in 'club direction' thread.

All available Jan onwards £63-68mil total:

Pickford
Emerson Holgate Gabriel Digne
Walcott Guimaraes Gomes Gordon
Richarlison DCL

Or for a similar price + higher wages:

Pickford
Arias Mina Holgate Digne
Walcott Allan Doucoure Iwobi
Richarlison DCL

One looks at youth, balance and defensive + offensive players spread across the team. Probably 2 outfield players from a top side.

The other looks at players who will need replacing within 3 seasons. Probably 5 outfield players from being a top side.

Obviously we wait to the end of the window but so far Brands is in the OUT box for me.

That can change of course.

Your first side gets absolutely eaten to death in the real world

That 2nd side would struggle in the championship:

pickford - zero confidence and makes at least one big error per game
mina - clumsy and injury prone
walcott - zero end product and injury prone
iwobi - awful from every conceivable angle
DCL - erratic finishing

Zat la. You’ve just spent best part of an imaginary £70m and still have Walcott and Iwobi starting games.

I sincerely hope it’s true!

No doubt that will be re-hashed over & over today ....is it legit & reliable ?

Your first side gets absolutely eaten to death in the real world

How so?

Defence: is balanced, defensively solid with pace across the back 4. All players able to carry and pass the ball.

Midfield: Solid anchor allowing Gomes and Gordon to combine. Two weak links being Gomes defensively and Walcott (who is our only option).

Forwards: As usual.

pickford - zero confidence and makes at least one big error per game
mina - clumsy and injury prone
walcott - zero end product and injury prone
iwobi - awful from every conceivable angle

Mina is deceptive. He looks gangly but delivers.

Its a very defensive minded side with a huge gap from midfield to the forwards.
