I just want a new keeper

Not happening, not a player to come in and immediately be a starter, anyway.

I think if they can get a cheap deal for an experienced, good GK to come in and compete (i.e. Romero) they will do.

The way i see it, is in our last game we conceded 3 at home against a relegated team, and we've made no improvement to the back five.

I know the root of our problems stem from the midfield, but we're a lot weaker in defence as a consequence. No disrespect to the lads, but we've downgraded to Virginia, kenny and nkounkou from stek, sidibe and baines.

It's also a massive decrease in age for those worried about the 29 year olds we're buying. It's why we need a right back and a pacey centre back at the very least.

I've seen nothing to suggest that Sidibe was any better than JJK. Whether either is good enough is a fair enough. We do need a new right back.

We were never going to go and spend good money on a BACK UP left back, and Niels so far has looked adequete.

GK is also a problem, Lossl is an OK back up, but we need a goalkeeper to either push Pickford or replace pickford.

For me Zaha would be a great signing for the right price.
Last year teams doubled up on Richarlison. This year they need to double up on Richarlison and James. Add Zaha to the Team and you simply can’t double up on all 3 of them

Not sure why people keep saying we need a LB.
We’ve got one of the best in the league, a really bright prospect behind him plus the likes of Delph and Gibson if we’re really unlucky
We need a RB and RM and to get rid of a few of the current staff.
Anything else is Brands being frivolous.

He’s a good keeper, yeah he had a bad season but he also became a father and anyone knows having a new born can leave u mentality tired and lead to mistakes.

I’d be really careful paying too much attention to us post lockdown. Particularly Bournemouth. We had Branthwaite CB, the midfield was truly dreadful and they all had their flip flops on. Bournemouth were fighting for their lives.

Re the downgrade, I don’t think lossl, Kenny and nkounkou are that big a downgrade on Sidibe, baines and stek at all. We also have Delph coming back to fitness who played left back a lot when city won the league.

I’d live to have signed Gabriel and we do need to improve the back 5 but the difference that the midfield will have on how we play and how solid we are at the back just can’t be underestimated.

We have quality in front of the back 4 for the first time in a while. We need a CB and a RB but it looks as though we are addressing that.

Add a RW and we’ll have a really strong squad.

From there I think the fans will have a better idea of what we need - though I think most would say that a LCB with pace & a pacy winger (for the right price) are certainties.

Jhon Cordoba interest
According to reports Everton are said to be interested in signing Koln star Jhon Cordoba.

Bild, cited by [Publication is blacklisted due to spam], have claimed the Blues are eyeing a move for the striker - who looks set to leave after reportedly rejecting a new deal with the Bundesliga outfit.

With his current contract set to expire next summer Koln could look to cash in before the transfer window shuts.

Bild suggest a fee in the region of £14m could be enough to snap up a deal for the 27-year-old.

Anyone know anything about this lad? Maybe a swap deal for JJK?

As one of the older generation I'm struggling to work out some of the abbreviations being used on GOT (at least I do know what that one means!.........). Maybe useful if somebody could possibly summarise the meaning of some of these IIRC, WRT, IMO.......

I remember we were linked with him about a month ago and I posted it on here. I could see us signing a striker if one of the current ones leaves, but Tosun has said publically he is not going anywhere and I think talk of Kean going back to Juve is just lazy click bait journalism. I could see Cordoba going to one of the promoted teams
