James - Whats he done since the 2014 world cup bro ?

What a bellend .

Take a look at his playing stats and trophy haul you fool.
Does he even watch any footie ?
For the majority of these talking heads, their entire football knowledge revolves around Sky Sports coverage of European football and player ratings on FIFA.

To answer your last question, probably not.

The way i see it, is in our last game we conceded 3 at home against a relegated team, and we've made no improvement to the back five.

I know the root of our problems stem from the midfield, but we're a lot weaker in defence as a consequence. No disrespect to the lads, but we've downgraded to Virginia, kenny and nkounkou from stek, sidibe and baines.

It's also a massive decrease in age for those worried about the 29 year olds we're buying. It's why we need a right back and a pacey centre back at the very least.
If you want to judge our team's status on one 90 minute performance with absolutely nothing resting on it, against a team fighting for their premiership lives, that's your choice. I have no intention of. Yes it was a poor performance, but that's the extent of it as far as I'm concerned. Everybody knows what our main problem was last year and, in my opinion, we have addressed that in the window. A return to full fitness of both Gomes and Gbamin will make us very strong in that area, amongst the best in the league hopefully if James performs to the standard he is capable of.

The 3 outgoing players you mentioned will not be missed. Two were at the end of their careers and no longer of the required standard, and the third just wasn't good enough. In no way do I consider any of the 3 replacements a downgrade. In fact Nkounkou I am genuinely excited about.

I do agree we 100% need a new right back for our starting XI. Now we have strengthened the midfield it would be my next priority, and whoever it is needs to be quick, athletic and able to get up and down the line all game. I wouldn't be against bringing in a quick centre back of Tomori's standard if the manager thought it was needed, but I'd be equally content to have either Branthwaite or Lewis cover next season.

Jhon Córdoba

lazy reporting or any shred of truth in this ?

know nothing about him other than loves playing with the big guy in fifa.

It always seems more likely when previously unremarked player becomes linked.
You have to suspect at least an enquiry has been made.
Superficially at least, a similar player to the Gomez link, a big traditional CF rather than a more modern forward.
Perhaps we are seeking such a player for a different option off the bench?.

We have no game changer off the bench which has been one of our big problems imo.

We need that Giroud/Origi type who can grab you a goal off the bench.

Josh King is another who we were linked with who fits that bill.
