Monchi, Brands and Ancelotti all think he's good enough to be an asset to a squad looking to kick on and crack into the elite. I'll trust their opinions over some divvies on the internet who'll moan about anything.

In the ideal scenario we never even have to see him play, just having his presence around will be the rocket up the arse for Pickford to get back to his form from the early months of his Everton career.
