Everton Transfer Thread - Summer 2020

Was just thinking about that echo article saying we budgeted for sales...

Kenny
Keane
Sigurdsson
Delph
Schneiderlin

Any others apart from those who are worthless?

We need a right back:

Also who plays right mid? Just Walcott?

If we had Gabriel, Todibo, Allan then great for the central spine but we still.need to address the weak right hand side.

Good shout out, I know we desperately need a right back and hope Emerson being looked at. Nah, Walcott straight to the bench and Richarlison at RM. He has a great work rate and would help if we signed an attacking right back.

We desperately need to give minutes to Kean to see if he was worth the investment. If we sign a right winger, I would play Richarlison on the left. I’m trying to be realistic here and I don’t see us signing 5 or more new players. We still have alot of deadwood to get rid of. Here’s hoping FFP is scraped and we can go hard in the market.

Pickford
?? Mina Gabriel Digne
Richarlison Allan Gomes Bernard/lwobi
Kean DCL

...Kean needs to grasp the opportunities he gets. Points and participation in cup competitions are precious, the manager picks his best team. We can’t use the first team to trial players and simply give them minutes. Holgate grasped his opportunity when it came, it’s how players break into the team.

I think we need to keep the DCL / Richarlison partnership together next season. Kean will still get a lot of games over a season as the rotation option

Also, I really like Mina but Holgate looks like a changed man and is someone we should see as a leader at the back, growing into the role.

Pickford
??? Holgate ??? Digne
??? ??? ??? ???
Richarlison DCL
I think were basically set on 5 players to start.

Then I think Emerson (£20mil) and Gabriel (£30mil) come in to shore up the defence.

Beyond that, who really knows what the plans are? Perhaps we go with Gbamin and Gomes in the centre with Iwobi/Bernard on the left and muddle along while signing a right winger?

The expenditure wouldnt be huge then and we'd be able to move a lot of players on the periphery onto loans or loans with buy clauses.

I mean the whole midfield we could go all Brazilian and end up with

Pickford
Emerson Holgate Gabriel Digne
Antony Bruno Guimaraes Matheus Henrique Everton
Richarlison DCL
That would all cost somewhere between £140-150mil normally but who knows what deals could be done...

You then have those players along with

Lossl
Coleman Mina Gibson Baines
Walcott Gbamin Gomes Bernard
Iwobi
Kean
So the squad has depth and is a young and upcoming team.

But in reality, were not going to be signing 6 Brazilians or starting with 7 :)

Tosun should fetch at least 10

Hes out till end of this year it seems...so that would be in jan + no one would buy him without him getting games to prove fitness so my guess is hes a write off for the season.

I dont think wed have factored his sale into the summer budget...only those i mentioned which isnt much incoming so the article appears to be nonsense to me.

Kean seems to be quick and strong. His weaknesses for me is that his ball control is terrible and he snatches at chances. He needs to work on that. The money has put pressure on him. As a young lad with fame and money I'm not sure he has it in him yet to knuckle down and work hard to improve his ball control and his other deficiencies. Maybe as he matures this will happen but do we have the time to wait on him?

....these blokes are generally on 3 year contracts, I suppose the risk with holding on is that they run their deal down and leave for free.

i‘m sure Kean was bought to have an impact on the team this season, but sadly that hasn’t materialised.

Agree with this and that's why I think if a good offer comes in I think we will take it. Hope we dont go down the loan route to an Italian club. Would have thought we had him on a longer contract than 3 years with the money we paid

he needs more than a season mate tbf. If he’s crap down the line we cut our losses I’m sure Carlo knows his stuff

Yeah I'd be happy to keep him. Think hes got all the attributes. if as I said he can work on his ball control and finishing, which is poor he could become great. Atm as a young lad not sure he has it in him to work hard. Whether they will give him the time is up to Carlo

Try and catch some of his games for Juventus online...his ball control was fantastic and his finishing was good too.

If that article, which claims we’re only going to be doing loan and swap deals this summer is true, then I don’t think we can expect our best player and our world class manager to stay when the team evidently isn’t going to improve

Carlo Ancelotti is not walking away 6 months into a 4 year contract.
