If we want to keep Richarlison up top then wide we have Iwobi / Bernard / Walcott / Gordon...

Cant think of anyone else...its not exactly top 4 quality lol

Right back Coleman / Kenny is about the same...

We need to have some luck here...honestly with those wide options id rather go 3 at the back...bring in 2 cbs like Todibo + Gabriel for £50mil then add in a right wing back.

mid rather Gordon play than Walcott tbh. At least if he’s gash we can put it down to him learning and we can hope that he will eventuallybecome half decent. Walcott is cack and offers nothing imo... he has pace but very rarely takes people on and when he does his delivery is crap or he makes the wrong decision

Sky can still show all the games and maybe more next season. They also have made a lot of money from the premier league. I’m not sure they will want to burn their bridges

most of the tv money doesn’t come from sky does it? I know Optus have the rights in aus and that was like 5B not sure if aus dollars or pounds, over 5 years. Not sure what espn etc pay in the US

I'm not sure it's that simple.

Will there be as many iconic moments without the emotive crowd? Will the celebrations for goals be muted?

If so, will Sky get the same sponsors in? Will the product be worth as much? Given the upcoming recession, will as many people be able to afford Sky?

There's lots up in the air at the moment. I would say there is much more to be worried about in the upcoming season from a financial perspective than there is reason for cheer. Certainly until a vaccine.

So in the meantime, it would seem strange that the club is lining up 30m pound bids.

I might be wrong of course.
For the TV bit, in the US more people just watched golf than ever before because nothing has been on for so long. I think the TV aspect will be fine, crowds or no.

They'll still be losing money without crowds though.

I’ve been watching the German clubs play, and the football skill level is the same. The big difference is the entertainment factor that a huge crowd generates is missing. Listening to the commentators trying to up the intensity level on their own is pretty sad.
I’ve started turning down the play by play, and playing music while watching the match.

....not sure if its balance, but I think we often look a better team when Walcott plays. I’ve always liked his uncomplicated approach, he gets behind his full-back and into goalscoring positions.

i all for having a more dynamic option, but I don’t mind Walcott.

That's the frustrating thing with Walcott. He seems to always get in a great position then has no end product in the final third.

Yeah people are craving live sports for sure. Our Bundesliga numbers were up quite a bit from pre covid. That being said part of the appeal of the golf event was the fact it was Tiger, Tom Brady, Peyton Manning, and Phil Mickelson. Those are huge names. I think only a Major with Tiger could draw close to those numbers

...thats fair, but it would be much easier for him not to make those lung bursting runs and threaten the opposition. I like the ‘type’ of wide player Walcott is and have often said the likes of Lookman and Bolasie could take a leaf out of his book.

Agreed. He definitely puts alot of pressure on the opponents defense. Just needs to sharpen up in the final third

Unfortunately I think his sharpening up days are behind him. He’s never going to improve at 31. All his career he’s been the same, poor final ball, poor crossing, no composure.

I know he had a spell at Arsenal where he scored a few goals, but looks like he would struggle to get more than 5 in a season these days.

That’s our big problem with him, Bernard and iwobi, they don’t score goals and that puts so much pressure on the front 2.

Maybe the reason of the rumours about buying a striker and moving Richarlison right.

I could see that but I think that would be a shame. Richarlison has been playing well and improving greatly playing centrally
