I'm always wary of older players coming to the Premier League for the 1st time. I worry that the pace of the league will take him by surprise.
At his age he needs to hit the ground running for it to work. Can't have 6 months getting accustomed to the pace of things. I also worry about the short pre-season before 2020/21 starts. Would that be enough to get tactical ideas across or would he know enough about Carlo's system already?
Again he needs to be ready to perform at a high level straight away or the value of the deal is diminished considerably. Hopefully his wages aren't too high so the risk is lessened.
We 100% will not sign Silva.
