I don’t know much about him, only what I’ve read. obviously he’s a big lad, physical, aggressive, gets about the pitch And has a very good mentality. But I’ve also read his still very raw on the ball. But just have 2 players of this profile in midfield next year, wouid make a huge difference.

It’s just the price for me, I think we could get better for 25mil
Yeah, I think if he can be had for something in the range of 18 mill he would be good to pair with someone else. Very aggressive, very physical, he has the same playing style of Gana(which I think you need one of your CMs to have). The downside is hes not as good at ball winning as Gana was, and like Gana hes not going to give you a lot of goals and assists from midfield. The upside is hes only 21, and he really likes to get forward, so if he could ever learn to finish hes eager to go box to box.

I am a firm believer that no matter who we bring in, one needs to be an athletic and creative attacking CM whos willing to still play the defensive half, and paired with an athletic and aggressive ball winner type, who is willing to get forward and play in the offensive half. They need to have somewhat overlapping roles, but they should BOTH be athletic and quick, but complimenting eachother with one offensive minded and one defensive minded.

we need to abuse the loan option more than ever this summer.

Funnily enough I reckon the loan market will be bigger than the transfer market. Clubs are going to need to save/make money but other clubs havent got much themselves, so they cant rely on sales.

I reckon many loan moves will be on the cards, just to get wages of the books - prob some big players too.

If we bring in 2 CMs and Weston is one that would be nice. Big, strong fella who is very versatile. I would not want it to just be him though.

Do a buy sell where they take Kenny for 10 and we take Weston for 20 though.... Might work.

he seems to want to come to England.
I agree with this. Mckennie would be great for 20m or less coming in along side a more experienced established player like an Allan type

He'd be one of the first ones my list. Has a lot of things that were missing. Left footed wide player, hard working, not come through the system with a silver spoon in his mouth. Good age, proven in the league, suits our formation.

Sounds expensive...
I just don't see how a winger with 2 goals in 50 games takes you to that next level.
He is no better than what we have.

Think Real would prefer a sale, good luck with that Real.

53m they paid.

Probably available for just over half that, can see many takers at that price to be fair.

But yeah if he's still around in October we should probably look into a loan.
I think we could get a loan realistically and have a sale on for like 35-40ish. Lovely talent that

Problem with loan deals especially for a decent player is your not only paying a ridiculous amount to cover their wages but some of these clubs demand 5-10 mil for 1 season and they get the benefit of having a player who if he performs well on loan will have an increased value as well as experience in one of the best leagues

I think it’s a viable option for younger talents rather than the likes of James Rodriguez or Coutinho or other well known names

Hence the idea of a fixed fee for the player. Madrid bought Jovic for ~60m, if we get a loan ask for a 35-40m agreement if it works out, bang. That's LITERALLY what Frankfurt did. They loaned Jovic with a future fee, he did boss, they bought him then sold a few weeks later to Madrid.

One of our biggest issues in recent years is we never look like a balanced team.

If you look at every team who play consistently well, from Wolves and Sheffield United, to Man Utd (post Fernandes) and the RS, there are no glaring holes in the 11.

We need to start playing well consistently, creating chances, competing in the midfield and looking like a team that can move and play as a unit.

I'm far more concerned about the lack of chances created for our front two in open play, than the amount of goals a winger scores whilst playing 442.

If Carlo switches to a 433 or 4231, then yes, the need for goals from wide forwards is crucial.

But so far, he mainly only switches between 442 and 352. Goal scoring wide players are not the priority.

The only player I’d consider from Burnley is Pope the keeper. Was excellent against us in both games, has amongst the best clean sheets record in the country, but after his performance against the RS yesterday, his price tag has probably risen even more.
