Signing Robinson back actually makes some sense. Until they went down we had a percentage of next sale clause which would have earned us a bit had he, for example, gone to Milan in January. As soon as they went down a relegation release clause came in and he's available for buttons. He's decent quality as a back up and we'd easily make a profit on him if we have him as Digne's backup for a season and then decide to sell again.

Makes perfect sense even though it's a bit odd.

He had both Baines and Digne ahead of him then. Now he'd be direct back up and he's had a good year in the championship under his belt.

Esp with the Nkoukou signing. He comes right out and says he was told he'll have an opportunity with the first team.

he's never gonna play unless Digne gets injured.

Robinson absolutely makes sense. Cheap, HG player, he knows it here, we probably won't be able to find a better backup than him for that price. And that's all we need - a backup. Digne will take all the minutes possible anyway. In any case we should be able to resell him for a profit. In the best case he becomes a longterm backup here. All for this signing, let's spend on other positions than left back.

Kondogbia would be a good addition to our midfield, like.

Never really thought much of him.

Thierry Correia (RB) is very highly thought of and only signed in the last year for £10m with a buy-out attached of £100m.

Young Portuguese player with a lot of potential but never really got a game at Valencia.

Interesting, not heard of him.

Another route would be to look at their youth teams and snap up the most promising one.

Doucoure adds goals from midfield and Sangare could become a beast.

I think if we signed both we would still need a reliable DM though.

We are probably trying to recoup value for him because of the relegation clause. He will be loaned out again perchance
