Why have we omitted our best central defender?

Honestly I'd rather we didn't sign Doucoure and tried to patch work some use out of Delph/Davies/whatever else. Then use the money to replace Coleman. I can't have James unable to get the ball because Coleman is incapable of forward passing.

Arias isn't good enough for what we'd have to pay. He would on a cheap short term deal be good enough to hold the fort down over there in a way Seamus appears to be now incapable of.
