Everton Transfer Thread - Summer 2020

I imagine that Napoli told other clubs that Allan was £40mil and they backed off. Meanwhile Ancelotti had the inside track with the player and Brands worked his magic

Spurs only signed the right back from Wolves for £15mil and paid £3mil to southampton on top of Walker-Peters going there.

He would be the dream signing, 4 months till he can sign a pre contract agreement.

If we could add Emerson this window then tie up Donnarumma in Jan then we really wouldnt need to do anything major next summer.

We would have a very good side.
Till then I will just put Harry on the bench; Plopford will keep looking over his shoulder wondering what the hell is going on.

What's the reason? Age or ability?

Really surprised Mourinho went for Hojberg rather than Allan. Both aggressive ball winning midfielders, similar price, one far far superior than the other.

Allan 29 years old, £22million,
Hojberg 23/24 years old and 30% cheaper at £15m.

Everton and Spurs both had Hojberg as first choice, he chose Spurs over Everton and they then went for second on the list Allan.
In the end, Everton's second choice may well turn out to be the better buy but who knows?

Age is a factor but on the balance of arguments and our greater need I will take Allan.

I'm pretty sure Doucoure is the Hojbjerg alternative. Pretty sure Ancelotti's number one target has always been Allan. We've been linked for months.

Doucoure is the Holgberg alternative, Allan and Rodriguez would of been on Ancelottis list as he's worked with them before

Allan was never 2nd on any list.

A couple of pages back it wasn't me, it was jimmythenut who compared the two players. He wrote that he was surprised Mourinho didn't go for Allan instead of Holberg

Yeah I still believe they're similar type players 100%, both love to tackle, intercept, win duels and equally as snide as each other. One is far superior. That's why I was surprised Mourinho went for Hojberg, but as some have said, Allan was always wanting to join Ancelloti.

Allan always the no1 target.

Whenever I've watch Doucoure he's been more box to box. He gets more stuck in further up the pitch than Hojberg and Allan.

Gabriel Marcotti thinks Allan is on the way down and Rodriguez mirrors Sigurdson. He refers to them as 'strange signings' for a lot of money!

He does however believe Dacoure, if he can relinquish his form from two season's ago, will be a positive addition.

Is this man to be trusted?

Does anyone agree?

I reckon he's looking at Allan's age when he says he's on his way down. Rodriguez mirroring Sigurdsson is hysterically funny, Sigurdsson is absolutely cack.
