Instead of sitting back glorying in our excellent start, which is what it is, we are now worrying that we have drooped a clanger in not signing a recognised striker. Watkins was an absolute bargain for Villa. Who is left we might go for in 24 hours?
I got an email yesterday from an American Turk who watches Chelsea when he is in the UK, and said we have ruined Tosun who he rates as a top striker. He never showed it for us.

Top striker in Turkish League doesn't mean a top striker in Prem. Clearly knows his stuff though being half American and a Chelsea fan.

Really hope the replacement is not llorente, Josh king at Bournemouth would be a good lowish cost solution. Can play all across the front 3.

Tosun isn't strong, he isn't fast. He can't play with his back to goal, he can't run into space. He can't keep up with play, his positioning is poor. He struggles to control a football and he is terrible in the air.

Wonder what your Turkish mate is drinking?!

Wish we went all out and got someone like Zaha or someone who can operate across the front line but is proven quality.

Imagine if James only makes the bench for the Derby game yet we can still line up with a front 3 of Richarlison, Zaha & DCL to run at them with James off the bench in the 2nd half to cut them open.

Sort of strength in depth we need to compete.
