No Allan or Delph, James still out, Pickford back in goal, and Coleman now available to play. Will be interesting to see what direction Ancelotti goes with his tactics and setting up the team. Holgate is more than capable of doing a job in the midfield in place of Allan if Coleman returns to the R/Back position, but I have a feeling that we'll either see Tom Davies or André Gomes playing instead; if that is the case, I don't see us winning. Anyway, my team would be:

Pickford
Coleman Mina Keane Godfrey

Doucouré Holgate
Sigurdsson
Iwobi Richarlison
DCL

Goes without saying Manchester United midweak is far more important, DCL needs resting for that.

He is 23 and an elite athlete who just played his first midweek club match since September.

I reckon his training schedule can be managed so he can play football matches on Sat-Wed-Sat-Wed.

He will be rested for one of Sheffield United and Manchester City.

The only changes I can see him making is Coleman coming back in for Holgate and Pickford for Olsen.

I think Gomes will continue alongside Doucoure.

4-4-2.

Carlo often surprises with his line-ups so Holgate in midfield might be on, though
if Gomes is ever going to get back to his former self he has to play regularly.

DCL must start. Tosun cannot play as a target man, jut too slow and poor in the air.

Players are getting tired! They can't all play at their best in all games.

Should we play a full strength team against both Arsenal and Man Utd?
Should we play a full strength team in one game - improving our chances of at least one win?
Or should we rotate one or two players in both games?

I think I'd play our strongest team against Arsenal - and postpone decisions about Wednesday, Man Utd don't play Leeds until Sunday tea-time, which makes Wednesday just a little harder for them. An early lead against Arsenal and early substitutions would be a great help.

I would be very very disappointed, if we don't put this pitiful rabble to the sword tbh.We can't take anything for granted when it comes to Everton! But still though, anything less than three points, should be seen as a disappointing result.
