Everton have often played better against sides at the top end for quite a while and that's what I'm hoping for, together with
some new manager bounce.

I've just read the last ten pages and I don't understand the fear about next week. Have you not noticed what's been happening
there this season?
How long have you supported Everton.... How many times have we won at Anfield since the Premier League started?

No matter what form the teams are in we end up getting beat.....

Record Vs Arsenal

Premier League
Played 60
Won 11 - 18.33%
Drawn 14 - 23.33%
Lost 35 - 58.33%

Given the new manager, the renewed confidence from the fans I hope this could be another famous win to kickstart our revival....

But it is that hope that kills you, and we most likely lose.

All those wins at Goodison.

You were almost there FE, keep the faith mate, you just never know, at least they'll have been given a kick up the arse and had their horoscopes read this week.
I'm not losing touch with reality but still have hope, looking for better attitude and performance today and hope we can build on that.
A minor miracle if we get a result today though, Arteta has his side purring and has certainty proved me wrong in his ability as a manager.
Safe to say I will be watching the game from behind the settee.

Wonder if there will be any out the blue picks in the lineup....simms maybe? Or price? (Think it was him that seemed to do one of the best in the bleep test)

Got to leave a few on them today. We wont even attempt this but if we try and match them we will get hammered. Odegaard, Saka and Martinelli all need to feel one in the first 10/15 mins
1/5 minutes, don’t you mean? As others have said, today will be incredibly difficult, so we need to be realistic in terms of expectations.

We need to see elements today that show potential and will provide hope. A resolute performance, chances on target and, importantly, fight.

Smash all kinds of crosses into the box right on the nose of that poor man’s Pickford they’ve got in goal, he’ll flap at more than a few and leave something on them all over the park. We can’t give them a minute.

Earn the right to play by fighting harder than them.

Biggest worry for me is form of Gueye in the middle. Too many sloppy passes and giving up possession recently - looks well off the standard required and at world cup. That and the fact Arsenal are firing all over the pitch!!
