Don’t care if anybody notices. My point stands. Iwobi is mostly crap and Gomes sometimes is too, but they weren’t the biggest problems in the first half here. But as soon as they stepped on the pitch, unless the team absolutely lit it up, those two were the ones who were always going to get blamed for it. It’s predetermined.

That performance was not two players away from being acceptable let alone a top team.

Sorry but I've coached a lot of football sides - I appreciate how 2 weak players can make an entire team fall apart. Replace them with stronger players and even those who appear poor can up their game.

That’s the thing mate, it’s easy everyone blaming the players but Carlo is paid an absolute fortune in wages and is supposed to be a great man manager and tactician and I’ve said it consistently that he should be judged at the end of next season when he has more of his own players but, he is just as much to blame as the players he picks to carry out his tactics.

Definitely, mate. Don’t think any of us expect a symphony but he should be getting a better tune out of them than that.

...I understand that view but I just think they we found it difficult to match them defensively.

I’m not just saying this with hindsight, but I find it amazing Holgate starts a game when Mina and Keane are fit. I say this regularly, even when he’s had a good game. We really have no legs in midfield and folk are crying out to sign Coutinho.

Ancelotti has stuck with Gomes, I presume because he thinks he’s terrific in possession but it’s not working.

i don’t know what’s going on but it’s a mess of a team.

You make it seem like winning the game was futile ,yes we have substandard players but it's the managers responsibility to make it work. I've been a critic of Davies in the past but he's at least exerted himself recently. And I've actually not seen enough of king to form a solid opinion. just want to see a performance.
