I gave MotM to Myko but could easily have given it to Tarks or Branthwaite. Out of the forward players only Doucoure could even make a case for MotM. I'm a bit worried about our lack of goal threat, tbh.

Otherwise pleased. Kept an excellent side quiet. Shut down the league’s leading striker. Most importantly, gave them an absolute battering, and took one right back.

Our home form still needs more points to show for the effort, but this is what Everton FC have to stand for: making life hell for the visitors for 90 minutes.

I am really struggling to watch whatever this version of football is now and that today was probably the worst I can remember for delays, time wasting etc - the VAR and bent refereeing is killing my love of the game.

A cracking game? I thought that was one of the worse stood start scrappy games of football I watched in a long time and devoid of any quality from both sides. Truly awful game of football.

Totally get it, can't even celebrate a goal now because it will be checked for 3 minutes, and they look for the most ridiculous things.

In saying that Tarkowski could easily have been sent off today.

Absolutely. He's not got it at this level and if someone came with 10m, I'd be taking that as well. When I think of our midfield of the 80's and have to watch this, I despair.

I enjoyed it when we were full on pressing and snarky. We cant go toe to toe with a team near the top and expect fancy football.

I voted for Mykolenko, that lad is our POTY and I don't think it's close.

I doubt anyone looks forward to playing against him. Not sure which LB has been better, surely a chance of PFA selection in the team of the season?
