I'd absolutely love one of their players to snap him. Don't want him getting injured, but I think he's enjoying being allowed to just cruise through games not getting his kit dirty

I think that he’s been coached to play a more defensive role, he picks the ball up deep and plays short passes, it’s not attractive to say the least. That kinda role never sets the field a light and he won’t pick up many goals in that role. I’d push him higher and tell Gomes to sit deeper

Agreed. He looked more comfortable going forward. He is not a defensive midfielder. He if he was sitting back and picking out dangerous balls forward, fine. But short balls that keep the pressure on us doesn’t help at all. Has been made captain a few things times, so managers obviously see something in him.
