Something is deeply wrong. Unsworth is a bit tactically lacking but there's something not right when senior pros and experienced internationals turn in that showing.
Is the squad split? Has Unsworth alienated the Koeman signings / loyalists? Questions I can't answer but it didn't look a unified or proud team at all last night.
I don't think it's split mate.
I appears that some of the senior players aren't arsed one bit - Unsworth finally seemed to admit this last night in his post match interview.
Some of the first team squad simply aren't Premier league standard.
The kids have been thrown into an absolute mess of a team and have had too much expectation placed on them as a result. It's not doing them any good as a result.
Whichever way you look at it or dress it up, this is gross mismanagement on a grand scale.
The way I'm looking at this, is that whoever comes in is going to have to be given the green light to rip this shambles of a squad up, a shed load of money and almost start again from scratch.
