From what I've seen and heard Brighton have been the better side in all of their league games this season. They were unfortunate not to have put 7 past Man United last weekend - strange as that sounds.

It won't be easy and the player's we will be missing is a concern, but we should have that extra bit of quality in attack with Rodriguez and an in form DCL that has seen these drop points so far this season.

Such is the good feeling around the club I'd be disappointed to lose to anyone currently, hopefully our confidence will see us victorious.

I’m worried about today, I am praying for a win. Anything else going into the international break may halt the great feeling around the place at the moment.

Open game with a 4-2 or 5-3 win.

We have to capitalize on our goal scoring opportunities because the way they play and the way we've been defending, they will certainly score. We just have to make sure we remain in control of the game.

Whilst 7 out of 7 seems a massive ask, this time last season we would be expecting to beat Brighton at Goodison. We can, and should be winning this game, even with the injuries we’ve picked up.

I watched Brighton last week, and whilst they did have a lot of chances against a very poor looking United side, they got punished for not taking their chances. Something Everton have been guilty for the past several years. I’d bring Delph in for Allan, Sigurdsson in for Gomes, and I think Richarlison will play (fingers crossed). I want to see big performances today from Delph and Doucouré.

I’m gonna go for a close 3-2 win for the Blues. James to be the difference between the sides that wins us the points. COYB!!

Can’t believe we’re going to have to rely on Delph and Sigurdsson today.

Their defence hasn’t been great but they are decent getting forward.

I really hoped we would have booted Davies & Delph this window and gotten in another CM on loan for the season until Gbamin was back and fully match fit.

Godfrey could perhaps be an option in midfield in the future.

Delph had an alright game the other day but I still don’t trust him.

Perhaps us bringing in superstars this window means he now realises he isn’t some big fish in a small pond.

If there were points for hitting the woodwork they would be top.

Gylfi (if playing) will be pressed heavily and will not take the risk of turning and moving forward, so it will be passed back to Delph etc, who in turn, will be pressed... that’s a concern.
James will need to be the one to create moving us forward.
Keane and Mina will need to be on their game.
Weather may be a factor in the outcome.
I’ll take a slip to allow DCL in to score the only goal of the game.
Lots of woodwork hit and last ditch clearances.

With that said... probably be 4-4.lol

Both have seemed to step up since Allan, Doucoure and James came in though which is a good sign. In any case it’s only for today then Allan and Gomes should be back for the Derby in 2 weeks

Holgate can also cover midfield when he is back, I think we are fine!
