I predict

==="Hero who makes 2 good saves"-----

"Soton 3rd choice"=="Young guy prone to error"=="old fat guy prone to error" =="ageing slow former star"

==== "Out of form Frenchman"==="No longer a surprise Senegalese"

==== "Slow Old guy" === "expensive, Out of form genius"=== "Off the pace dutchman"

============="Young guy who lacks confidence"==========

Subs to be used:
"Non Footballer who gets lucky occasionally"
"Young trier who has bad days and great days"
"New tricky player who wonders what he stepped in coming here"

The names don't really matter as Koeman has ensured we have depth in each one of the areas above.

Scary thing is your spot on!

Just play Niasse up front. Someone with some movement and the ability to finish a bit. If you want to pair him up with DCL and put Siggy behind them, fine. And sit Rooney down. If you want to pair him up with Niasse, fine, but he has GOT to find space farther up the pitch. Hell, push out wide, don't care, as long as Siggy has room in the middle and there's a CF putting pressure on the center of Burnley's back line.

But either way, if Keane or Jags can't go, it's not going to be pretty.

...from the press conference it sounded like he's keen to play Keane with Jagielka but both are doubtful. Looks like Williams/Holgate. I'm really not keen on Holgate as a CB, especially in a back four as I think he's poor in the air. Burnley should be rubbing their hands at the prospect of putting high balls into our box.

He spoke about playing 'fresh' players which suggests he'll go with Martina. Baines the only option at LB.

It wouldn't surprise me if Gueye misses out. Vlasic might start the game but who knows where. He must go DCL up top. Critical he plays a Sigurdsson alongside him but I'm not sure RK can see the nose on his face.

----------------Stek-------
Kenny--Holgate--Pickford--Baines
------------Snides/Gana-----------
Davies--------Siggy--------Vlasic
-----------DCL-------Niasse-------
Subs
Rooney
Klaassen
Lookman
Mirallas
Martina
Gana/Snides
Someone other than Williams

Pickford

JJk - Keane (Please be fit) - Jags/Holgate (anyone but H.M.S Williams) - Baines.

Gana (Deserves a spot over Schneiderlin for me) - Davies

Sigurdsson

Rooney - DCL - Vlasic

Lookman, Sandro and most importantly Lord Niasse to be our go to options on the bench.
