Depends on what exactly you're asking him to do. If all you want is someone who can whip in a good deadball and pop of with some goals in a more or less second striker role than you've got your man. If like Silva was attempting you want him to be someone who the attacking play of the team runs through you're in real trouble. I don't know what exactly stops him but the guy is so poor at getting on the ball in that #10 role that it's madness he ever got that position in the first place.

For me the far better thing to do would be bring if off the bench a bit and bin him off in the summer. Try to develop a plan for next season that does not involve him. He's done.

Be interesting to see Carlo's in game management if things arent going to plan. That's all he can do really, he hasn't really had time on the training ground to get his method across.

Sigurdsson it top class but only if he's just behind the strikers proper number 10 role anywhere else and he's completely ineffective and since we signed him he hasn't been in that position, no wonder he's struggled. He's lethal just outside the box and has scored some great goals for us when he does find himself in that position. Luxury player number 10 or nowhere.

He's a 10 who hides and slow the tempo down an occasionally blammo does not justify a start for me

Can’t see him doing anything other than 4-4-2 given his lack of time to prepare or implement anything new. Think we need some fresh legs with the busy schedule though.
