I'm going to ignore anything good Bily does in preseason. At least until we play teams at our level.

Simply because Bily's talent is undeniable, he just struggles with the premier league's pace and power. Him doing well in preaseason games or Europe, for example, is to be expected.

That said, if he's in the center that's encouraging.

I think switching Bily and Arteta (generally rather than in this game) could make a big difference for both players. The Russian is hit and miss but, if he can get his confidence up with a run in the side, he looks like a real threat.

Bilyaletdinov looks a completely different animal in the middle. Full of flair, looking for space and an available pass, dribbling directly and, most importantly, picking up the ball and slashing shots at goal - this one whisks just past the post before the 'keeper saw it.

If it was that easy, Ossie and Fellaini would have done it in the first half. Bily's trying things. Some of it comes off and some of it doesn't. I'd rather he do that than stick to percentage football.
