The problem doesn't seem to be breaking them down, as we all thought it would be beforehand, but a combination of fantastic keeping from Marshall, poor touches and lay offs at key moments and a lack of clinical finish. Pretty much the template for all our games. I keep badly waiting for something to click in Mirallas to make him boss but he frustrates me so much.

Yeah, from what I saw it's hardly like we haven't had the opportunities. We're just not being clinical enough in the final third.

Barrys not needed??

Do you think he is just sitting there defending?

He is the one person spraying the ball around and changing the focus of attack.

Yip, rather take McCarthy off than him coz we're going to need some good defending to stop them scoring

Lukaku's shot was a good save by their goalie the Marralas and Deulafeu shot's were a goalies dream to save and made him look good

I can see them scoring before us, we're just crap in the box

I can't help but feel that the confidence level of our boys up front is pretty low. Like they are hoping to score with their shot rather than knowing they will score. Sort of this sports version of "gripping your stick too hard". Other than Lukaku, the shots haven't really had much venom to them. I could be wrong, but that's what I see anyways.

The block from Cala was the most frustrating part of the half for me. He came out of nowhere, Mirallas was set to burst the net.

But I am talking about this game. Our centre mids are actually pushing the attacking play more than anybody in this game. Good positive passes in to the forwards in dangerous areas, spreading the play to create more space.

Another attacker will not change the fact that the good build up play by some players is being wasted by others.

For me its a case of Kev/Deulo/Ossie not being quite dangerous enough but in fairness the goalkeepers had to make three great saves. So if its still a draw the best option is to try McGeady or Ross or both to try make more of what the CMs behind and the fullbacks are creating.

doesn't always work like that, but it usually does. there's more chance of barkley arriving in the box to finish off a chance than mccarthy!

Our shots were pretty quality so far. If we get the same good shots in the box we'll win 2-0 or 3-0. Just gotta get that 1st to bring them out of that 10-0-0
