Good result, would have been out of sight if their keeper hadn't had a great game, but all i'm arsed about it 3 points, all the other teams around us - especially spurs have gotten a lot of results fortunately this season so a nice change to see us getting a bit of luck for once.

I'll take 10 more of those scrappy wins this year over playing boss and being unlucky (goodison derby, Spurs away, Chelsea away etc)

Would have been all over at half time if not for Marshall who has had an outstanding season for them. Didn't think we were anywhere near as good in the 2nd half but did enough to win. Thought Deloufeu was terrible today then he scores, i'd have had him off before then but after scoring why not keep him on in case it inspired him?

Anyway that is a minor quibble, we won and with the fixtures tomorrow we will either have closed on 4th or made it much easier to finish above United or Spurs to claim 6th at worst.

Feel mean after that but screw it, should have had a penalty against them in August lol

why? they set up with 8 defenders, bet they've outspent us over the last 3/4 years, no wonder they're at the bottom with that kind of ambition. i don't think their's was a free kick tbh, campbell did that canny thing that players do where they flick out at outstretched leg, although coleman did flick a bit. only saw one replay tbh.

we were utter dog turd in the second half, but still just about deserved the win.

What a tit he is.

Cardiff have an awesome keeper. That's about it.

We weren't great of course like.

As i said mate, i honestly don't care if we are great or average from now to the end of the season as long as we get the results that see us in Europe again, we all know that next year we will be able to play more expansively anyways as the system beds in more and more

Utter delirium in that last minute. Wasn't great but we absolutely needed that. You were mostly poo, but love ya Seamus mate

There was even more luck in the Cardiff goal. First it was not a fk initially. Secondly, their scorer was not intended to strike the ball with his thigh. The ball just came and hit his thigh and went in.

Massive, massive goal Seamus lad!

To be honest though, saving for David Marshall doing his best captain fantastic impression, we were properly terrible at times today. We look so laboured & devoid of any ideas and no single member of the side is willing to take responsibility in forward areas. It's all too much of "you have it mate", "no, you have it instead, "no I insist" type of stuff from the lads passing the book onto one another that causes most of our decent play to ultimately break down.

I also thought the subs were made at the wrong times, although I thought McGeady was great when he came on. Osman should've been dragged off 15 minutes earlier than he was but having said that Ross again looked poor when he entered. Roberto got it wrong I'm afraid.

That said, massive 3 points. We should be looking to win all of our remaining home games if we are to end the season strongly, especially against the 'lesser' teams.

We won mate.
