What message would it send to Mina, or Zouma?
Who cares what message it sends to Zouma he's already been talking about going back and making it at Chelsea which is fair enough but we actually own Mina and Keane and unless Zouma gives us an indication that he'll come permanently then he has to give way to our long term partnership.

Keane was poor, he has taken on what Silva wants and has been a mainstay since coming in, he has played well, earned an England recall and hasn’t made a mistake, he cannot be dropped. Mina has played one game , zouma has played well but had to be dropped last week, one of them should miss out, I would pick whoever he has in mind for the derby
Personally I'd go with an unchanged defensive line up this week, but only because of who we are playing. I'd bring Zouma back for the derby because of his extra pace. I'd possibly go with Keane for that game too, but only because it's such a hard game and Zouma and Mina have never played together before.

The concept of not dropping Keane just because it may effect his confidence doesn't even enter my head, and I hope it doesn't enter Marco's either. I expect him to pick whoever he thinks is best for each game and I'll support his decision. If it proves to be the wrong one then I'll criticise him for it.

What's he meant to say?. Criticise he permanent club?. Vlasic done that and we all love him don't we?. Plus you have no idea what is going on behind the scenes. We could be discussing a permanent deal with both the player and Chelsea.

Anyway, I'm not saying either Mina or Zouma should be getting any preferential treatment.Ii'm saying that Keane shouldn't. None of them, should.

Nothing to do with knocking his confidence, he doesn’t deserve to lose his place.hes in the team on Merritt
