Funnily enough I thought it was a pretty clear penalty.

Until I saw that angle.

I'm not actually sure he touched him. The guy never even appealed. Think he expected a booking tbh.

Makes you think really how good VAR will be. I wouldn’t want to be the ref having to rewatch that one

If Chelsea away layed a marker, Cardiff home felt like sticking a wet finger up to see which way the wind was blowing.

The difference between Huddersfield and this one is hugely encouraging. The weaknesses evident, but the strengths sufficient and dominant enough to yield the win.
No hesitation and anxiety in this one. In Pickford, Keane, Mina and Coleman there seems to be the right combination of heads.

Thought Cardiff played the game really well. But in contrast it was also a reminder of how well the lads defended as a unit against Chelsea.

And the Spurs win yesterday showing how far we've got to go before being considered top4 material.

It's fascinating, intriguing stuff.
How will Silva, Brands get there?

I'm really really looking forward to this Derby. If nothing else but to see how they deal with the challenge from the position of where they've got themselves to. This time it's like the derby is another step along the way rather than be all and end all. Like, a step back (L) would only be to enable the next step forward. Compare this to what United are feeling going into their next match.

I’m fully aware of how successful Everton were before the inception of the Prem. The point I was trying to make was him sounding like Liverpool fans living in the past with regards to league glory.

This is a classic small-time go-to that you'd do well to lash straight in the bin.

And thats why VAR will still cause problems for me,because its how the VAR ref will think on the day,he could give a decision that he thinks is right but all us see it clear etc and think its not and so on,seen quite a few dodgy VAR decisions, even worst in Italy when VAR give decision back to the ref who then watched it and somehow give fouls/goals that shouldnt count /pens etc for nothing

Were we any good

They were well organised and very resolute, our forwards were squeezed and didn't have much room or space so they were fairly quiet but we dominated in midfield and defence. It was an ugly win but a signof a good side, winning when not playing well, we heading right direction.

Now we are 6th and Man Utd are seventh and if it stays like that till the end of the season.....will all the pundits keep calling it the Top 6 or change it to top 7 for Uniteds benefit. Used to be top 4 until Man Utd dropped out of it a few seasons ago.

It's like I wish Everton could just play in the SSE Airtricity League Premier Division. It's just too commercial in this league. Proper fans over there. But then again they've Rovers and St Patricks athletic supporters who are utter glory hunters. Maybe I'd be happier in there lower division.

Know what you mean mate. I switched allegance to Aberystwyth town in the welsh leagues but just couldn’t get the chants going
