Brilliant game. Difference b/w Everton vs Chelsea from the last season and one that played the FA cup final was: Moyes' Everton took the lead and then defended the entire game and ended up losing 2-1, Martinez's Everton took the lead and looked to attack and add another....won 1-0

Opta say 22 shots, only 6 on target, only 1 more than Everton.

Bbc say both teams 5 shots on target, Chelsea twice as many in total with 22.

I'd be more inclined to believe Sky's stats than those of Opta today. Chelsea had us under siege in the second half. Howard is level pegging with Naismith for our MotM in my opinion.

Great win. Barry was MOTM, Redknapp summed it up; he put out fires all day and always found a blue shirt. Defence put in a dogged performance led by the tremendous Jagielka. Barkley wasn't at his very best but still very dangerous all day and get stuck in when needed. Very composed for th goal too. Naismith put in hi best performance in a blu shirt. Jelavic was dog **** bar the assist. Lukaku in for him next week is going to make us very dangerous. McCarthy looked good when he came on, efficient on the ball and put the work in

Naismith was perfectly respectable today. I still think he's average but if he can put a performance like that in when called upon he'll be right by me.

We seeing jelavic's last few months as an Everton player. Great header for the goal tho!

Osman started truly awful, got better but still not great.

When Roberto took of Jelavic and put Mirallas up front,the game changed in an instant. Mirallas ran the Chelsea defence ragged.
Superb debut from Gareth Barry, a very polished performance.
Praise too for Naismith who not only scored but covered a lot of ground.
Would love to see Lakaku and Mirallas line up in a 442 formation,the prospect is mouth watering.
