Nonsensical and massively outdated jibes for high unemployment levels on Merseyside in the ‘70s and ‘80s, which occurred due to the Conservative Party basically being the Conservative Party.

Special mention to Michael Hestletine, who did a lot for us at that time and stood up to Satan herself Margaret Thatcher.
