We'll still win it imo too.

But also - 234 matches, 25 assists. Hardly a fantastic amount of assists, considering through his career him and Baines have been our main outlet.
I am not gonna do the same level of research as you as i cba but Id guess that stacks pretty well up against other premier full backs in that time

Just be more precise and hopefully Marco has seen a few things to open them up. Keane is struggling and allowing them to get away with hoofing it forward a bit too often.

Why do people always feel the need to say we need to make a sub at HT? Especially when it's 0-0 and our best XI is already out there?

when things arent working its usually best to do something to change it around. Some times it can just help with a team talk and some tactical changes, but more often than not its changing personnel that does the trick.

lets hope for a better second, Walcott and Bernard need to be involved more. Once again though I love Digne, just so composed, he's my favourite signing i think, proper quality full back.

Baines has about 3x the amount.

It's not that it's that poor, it's that the crossing itself hasn't improved one bit in all these years. If it's a flat bullet cross or a low cross from the line - yeah, he's good at that, but those are relatively simple.

You know when Baines puts the ball on the forward's head from deep consistently, much like all good fullbacks of this day and age do? Coleman would hit 1 of those every 20 or so at best.

Coleman has gone back to his old habit of not playing inside and only moving it down the line. Causes the right side to be ineffective.

Palace have nullified us very well; textbook Roy Hodgson performance.

The only times we’ve managed to break them down is when they’ve committed men forward and we’ve been able to break at pace.

Might be something in inviting them on to us a little more; then play quickly into the vacated space.

I think we may struggle at home this season. Its clear we are a counter attacking team, away from home it’s easier to implement that game plan. I’d get rid of the 4231 and go 433 drop Sigurdsson into the midfield.

I havent and wouldn't compare him to baines. Hes been the best crosser we have had since sheedy
