The formation does feel lopsided as hell.

I like three at the back - but having only two centre midfielders and grey and Gordon out wide just feels wrong. Get the feeling we will be exposed a lot in the prem with only two in the middle.

If we get a proper 6 it’ll work. Without one, I agree.

Main key points:

• Tarkowski excellent with his long diagonals out towards Patterson, as well as his 1v1 defending in the box.

• Wing backs positioning has been great; starting much higher up the pitch today, but would like to see the ball played in earlier by Mykolenko at times.

• Iwobi has done a surprisingly good job playing in a midfield two; getting on the ball and picking good forward passes.

• Very happy to see DCL on the scoresheet; could’ve had a second from Gray’s near post corner too.

• Opening 30 minutes were very good with our high pressure; dropped significantly from 30 to 40 mins though which allowed Kyiv back into it, but then finished the half well too. We need to keep up the intensity of pressing throughout.
