Pretty much season over now. The FA Cup cannot possibly be as kind to us as the Carabao Cup was and we still managed to mess that up royally tonight. We won't be in the relegation mix, and obviously we cannot qualify for Europe. Season over before Christmas - what a way to deflate an unbelievable run of form.

We lost when we had the game at our mercy. The disappointment will likely linger. We move on - to Spurs and City and, quite possibly, 0 from 6.

That JP got his hand to several balls and couldn't keep them out is Exhibit A why you don't take pens like Onana did there.

You smash it - the keeper can guess right and it's still difficult to keep out.

I was also surprised that Onana was taking the 5th penalty. Made no sense to me at the time, and even less sense to me now

Garner should have been on the fifth. I know it’s about who puts their hand up, and hindsight is 20/20 but nothing about Onana looked right when he stepped up.

Gutted there. Onana penalty was absolutely terrible. Surely someone must have said not to side foot it to the keeper really gently. Pickford got his hand to 3. Hopefully Fulham draw the RS and not port vale.
