For once I actually after a day still stand by what I said in the heat of the moment after last night’s game. I’ve seen us get absolutely smashed, but I still think last night was one of the worst performances I’ve ever seen.

I feel the same and I extremely knee jerk prone, of thats a term

It wasn't acceptable at all and certain players shouldn't be involved again for the foreseeable future. Our home performances are not acceptable and they cant be tolerated. The fact they are happening time and time again shows they are being tolerated. The question is why?

its usually OK if one, or even two, of our players are having an off day when nothing quite works and eventually they stop trying. Last night seemed like 9 of them had that game experience. Carlo will tell them to put that behind them and focus on Wednesday but they shoudl all watch themselves in that game again, Holgate and Keane for the goals were just statue-esque. Where does Carlo get the idea that Gylfi can play as a false 9?

The problem when you calculate without all the information is it becomes a guess .So no not 73 years but that is not relevant ,is it ? If you are referring to my age then it would be safe to assume you have an idea of the success I have seen .Which would then lead to the reply to your original post .
lol ...cantankerous much?

Fulham played well but in exactly the same way as Newcastle, my word how easy we made it for them. As usual, we're barely on the pitch at the start and the opposition grow in confidence, almost shocked at how they're being allowed to control the game. They took the opportunity with both hands so fair play.

What's worrying me is how we're not learning from any of our previous pathetic performances. Why are we letting poor teams come and dominate us? You can say well clearly that's not the plan, but then OK - why are we so deep? Why do we not press higher? Why do we show no urgency in closing them down and surrendering the middle third of the pitch to them?

I simply have no idea what we're trying to achieve in some games. And yes Carlo needs more time to sort it out and I'm fully behind him, but it's absolutely right we question what's going on. There's throwing the odd shocker but we are now doing it time and time again. Something is really, really off.
Newcastle was disappointing because we let them bully us. Last night was more so because Fulham didn't need to bully us, we just stood off them.

The answer, basically, it is a very weak squad and there isn’t an awful lot of competition for places, just turns a piece with too many average players, and to be honest Carlo doesn’t seem be able to motivate the players for these games, although they should be able to motivate themselves, but not many of the players have any affinity to the club.

There needs to be an enormous clear out but I doubt the club will back the manager and allow him to do it.

Not much more than twelve months ago we were in the relegation zone and now we are in the discussion for CL places.

We have got to be realistic, in my opinion even if we finish in the top four we are not yet ready to compete domestically and in the CL.

Our squad is not very weak but there is no doubt that we do need extra quality. We do need more pace and plenty of it and need another central midfielder at least.

The addition of two or three players would make a big difference to the squad but I think we are probably at least another season away before we have the squad the manager would want. ..assuming he will be given money to spend in the summer.

We have done and we will, up to a point, accept player's limitations in skill or even form...poor form happens...but only as long as they are seen to be trying and putting in the effort.

Its probably a good job there weren't 39,000 fans there on Sunday...and no wonder they got rid of the cushions too.

Seems to me you are really agreeing with me on most points, just on how weak the squad is do we differ.
