Loads thought we were goosed going into the wolves game due to missing players and the Don pulled out a master stroke absolutely no one predicted.
He will want to replace the energy and cover Dacoure gives us. Dropping Sig back or playing Gomes and Davies will not give do that for us. I don’t see him playing Holgate or Godfrey there either as that midfield has to use the ball properly. My guess which will probably be wrong but I think he goes Davies to sit, Digne to his left and Iwobi to his right. Both mobile enough to do the job. Dcl, James and Richarlison up front. 4 centre backs in defence

Think he'll go back to 343 with Doucoure and Allan both out

Pickford
Keane Mina Godfrey
Iwobi Davies Gylfi Digne
Rodriguez DCL Richarlison
I’d wager he sticks with 4 at the back. If Digne plays I’m very curious who lines up on the right though. Holgate, Godfrey, and Coleman would all be options. I might go Godfrey as the midfield will likely be carved up and a little extra pace at the back sounds good.

Well this is a 6 pointer. It’s nice for a change that it’s a 6 pointer at the top rather than the bottom. That said, it’s a must win. If we win it’s a marker laid down to everyone else. If we fail to win then 6th or 7th is as good as we’re going to do.

This is at our gaffe and they are missing their top goalscorer... Could see a 0-0 as we havent had one for a while.
Pickford
Holgate, Keane, Mina, Godfrey
Iwobi, Gomes/Siggy, Davies/Digne,
James, DCL, Richarlisson

Could Digne and Iwobi have been self isolating, perhaps? Would explain the lack of a reason for their absence yesterday and there has been a big gap for self isolation and training afterwards for the pair of them.

I think it'll be something a bit more defensive.

Pickford
Godfrey Keane Mina Digne
Davies Gomes
Iwobi James Richarlison
DCL

Richarlison and Iwobi being a bit more defensive and James and DCL trying to make things happen up the field.

I very much worry about the two in midfield though, undeniably weak, which is why he will be play the more defensive back 4 than last night.
That’s exactly what I thought, except it’ll be Godfrey lb and Holgate rb, Digne bench at best.

Andy King scores his second and Everton FC’s fifth goal in their 1-5 win against Leicester City FC at Filbert St, Leicester on the 10th September 1977.
