unusually positive from Sporting Life... probably not a good sign...

Correct Score: Everton 1-0 Leicester (Sky Bet odds: 7/1)

  • Wednesday, 19:45
After a weekend off, Everton head into this game fresh and three points clear of the relegation zone thanks to their win over Manchester United the last time the Toffees played at Goodison Park.

All three of their wins under Frank Lampard have come at home, with their xG process across their five league matches in front of their own fans reading a steady - yet uninspiring - 0.94 xGF and 0.94 xGA per game, highlighting how their home games are tight affairs.

Leicester have been very busy in the last few weeks, with this game being their fifth in 13 days.

The Foxes made wholesale changes at the weekend in their deserved 2-1 defeat to Newcastle (xG: NEW 2.38 - 0.60 LEI), as they again conceded a host of chances, with their away xGA per game average of 2.05 the second-worst in the league.

Continue defending like that and Brendan Rodgers' side won't win many more away games this term.

Is Albert Steptoe available for them?

LETS GOOOOOO!!!!!

Can't wait for the day where "fight for his place" dies off with the boomers. We have it over here with something called the transfer portal and it's exhausting. Just say you think young people should suffer.
What a strange post.

I dont think young people should suffer at all, Lookman didnt fancy it here at Everton and he moved on. I would have rather he stayed and waited for his chance, but he followed his own path and 5 clubs later maybe he can find a home in the Summer.

Here we go here we go here we go
Everton are the best we all know
We're the team we're supreme number 1
And we love you EV ER TON
Here we go here we go here we go
Side by side as we sing along together
E V E R T O N
We're Everton and we'll be Everton forever!!!

Another big game Wednesday and a chance to put back to back league wins together since the last time we got back to back wins (March 2021 for those thinking I haven't done my homework)

Watford lost today and here's hoping the Hammers put another nail in the coffin known as the Dycheless Burnley FC

Can't see any changes for this game after the great result against Utd, but our bench should certainly look a lot stronger with Mina and VDB coming back.

Whoever does or doesn't play, we need the same commitment, drive and desire to get the 3 points at all costs. No doubt the support will be amazing, in fact it'll be even better as I'm going and my voice is the equivalent of 100 Evertonians I've been told.

I don't know if my lucky undies can withstand another win. Mrs Yarrrgh is already complaining about having to wear a clothes peg on her nose when I'm in the room.

UTFT. Can't wait for more tales of Dunc and the opposition manager on the lash - lemo and ladyboys all over twitter on Thursday.

C'mon you blues!

4-1 with a walrus hat trick. Get in!

Tell the missus she's gotta take it for the team!!!

What? You don’t think players should put in the required effort to get a place in the team? Look at Gordon, knuckled down, improved, now a regular starter. Iwobi, played crap in matches for years but kept fighting for his place in training and is finally starting to look decent. DCL, crap for years, even played at wing back for some bizarre reason, kept working hard, got in the team.
Lookman decided to leave instead, maybe it’ll work out long term, maybe it won’t.
