I’m always weary of starting a CB who’s lacking match sharpness in important games, but when the alternative is Michael Keane who’s lacked match sharpness for about 18 months and Holgate who just isn’t the sharpest, it’s more than justified.

….my son just picked up his daughters from ours, he’ll drop them at his and go straight the match. Asked him how he’s feeling, he said “nervous”.

Nervous seems the general feeling, that can translate to different reactions at the match. Here’s hoping it’s a noisy, supportive & intimidating atmosphere. Good luck Toffees.

Disgrace that we are in this position... Awful management from Benetiz. Awful results. And not great from Lampard either. But it's now just about staying above Burnley. So let's win tonight. Get a little release in tension.
I many moons ago played a few Irish league matches. I was always nervous playing. But supporting this current Everton team is more exhausting. It really is. I live and kick every ball. What do tho do.
It's not in our hands. This bunch of player's need to step up.

Ps.....I'm always nervous about Everton. Even back in the mid 1980s. When we had a team. Everton supporting mates that I used to go to the match with , never understood me. I never relaxed until we were two goals up. I'm more, and always have been, a more, tell me the final score type of person. So here's hoping for good news tonight.

I'd have preferred not to stick Rico up front but other than that not much to complain about there. Allan Delph Iwobi midfield is good. Doucoure to come in as well.

Apparently DCL has broken a finger nail and has a modelling job on Friday which needed to include his hands, got to feel for the guy during this difficult time for him.
