Tonight was utter dross. Peak Benitez standard dross, I was so shocked at how bad we were, even Tarkowski and Coady stunk! Grey should be hollowed out and used as an umbrella stand. As for the rest, implement a system whereby a back-pass is fined by a weeks wages. Oh and Lampard needs punting if he cant see that playing a lazy meff in front of an ageing Coleman is a recipe for disaster!

Originally Thought it was right to drop Gordon but my god at least he would have attempted a take on. Thought Halloween was last week, but these lot are still terrified when they go anywhere near the opposition box ffs

As for Calvert-Lewin, christ. Last time he was ‘in form’ was two years ago. He doesn’t even challenge for the ball in the air like he used to now. Will never be fit enough to play himself into form again.

Crazy to think Iwobi would be getting even more plaudits than he’s already getting this season if he had half decent players in front of him. Even given how poor we were going forward today he could have got a couple of assists. The only attacking outlet with a brain at the moment. We need to start sneaking points very soon.

Was talking with the lads sat next to us in the second half and a few things stood out.

1) Garner looked ready to start a few matches. Nothing to lose by giving him the nod ahead of either Gana or Onana in the next game.

2) Iwobi looked industrious but the lack of movement ahead and to either side did limit his impact.

3) Mykolenko has an engine. Lost track of the number of times he covered 60 yards at pace to either overlap and offer an option going forward or to fly back and help snuff out a counterattack when we gave the ball away around their box.

4) McNeil and Gray were both well contained by Leicester's fullbacks. We really could use a new wide attacker who can take players on at pace.

5) set piece delivery was poor.

Well that was another awful show. Team look so devoid of ideas going forward, when we do mount an attack of note it breaks down cos Dunc lite, or shud he be called sick note, up top is useless. We are going nowhere but down under Lampard

A bit of a garbage result, that.

Every club has bad results, our reaction to it is now the important thing. A win and the start of an unbeaten streak before the World Cup, and tonight is forgotten.

Badly let down by Gray, the number of times Myko tried to overlap and offer himself for a cross only to be ignored by Gray was appalling.
