Pep used to beat Klopp's press with a long ball to Ledanowski (sp) who used to win the ball and lay it off. I wouldn't mind the accusations of being Hoof merchants if we did this with Lukaku. If that big galoot at CB is back though I'm not sure how many he'd win.

If im perfectly honest I think only way we can beat them is to basically bite their ugly heads off. We need that attitude we showed to Arsenal. Sheer will power. Goodison roar gave tho extra rush for our players.

Exactly this. Too many times they come and show more fight than us which is inexcusable. Thank god that little imp Coutinho is hurt though. He always bloody scores against us.
Still mad at Jags for that second booking. Funes is exactly that type to get carried away and either fly out of position to try and win the ball or do what he did at the dump last season....

fight them.
Balls to tactics here, fight for every ball, hard tackles on their fancy attackers, not let them rest on the ball in the middle, push their false striker out the box or isolate them, just make it really difficult for them to pass the ball about effortlessly. the minute a team stands up to them and kicks back at them they will go into hiding, because they may have a good attack but that is it, their midfield would be susceptible to gueye nipping in there.
90 minutes of fighting and we will beat them. Tuesday proved it.
