Seen a lot of people saying we didn't play at all well. I thought we were quite good - had spells in possession where we looked dangerous and didn't fall into the panic that a lot of teams do against Liverpool. Mane was the best player on the pitch as he usually is though. Stick him in our side and we'd be a real threat.

If VVD was offside before he got clattered then the clattering “didn’t happen” and you can’t give a retroactive ban for something that “didn’t happen”

The ref on BT said this isn’t true, you can be booked after an offside otherwise people would Just be punching each other with no comeback. Makes it all the sweeter I think. I hope this is the start of the leagues payback for them trying to take control with the mancs

....I had to drive into town last season on a Reds match day & I was amazed at the no of supporters with ‘Virgil’ on their shirts. I’m talking grown-ups, not children. They’ll be devastated if he has a bad knock.

i’ve never done an ACL, but had plenty of ligament injuries. Generally you can walk ok in straight lines but it’s agony if there’s pressure from the sides. I’d guess ligament, but even that could be 10 weeks.

Pickford will be hated, but it was a goalkeepers desperate effort to block. A football incident. It was reckless but it wasn’t done with malice.

The reason most have 'Virgil' is because the club shop had ran out of the letter 'N' so they made do with 'L' at the end instead.

A little point on the disallowed goal,it appeared to me that Mane came from an offside position to recive the pass then set up the goal,or am I mistaken not seen a replay so not sure.
That wouldn't matter, the only thing that counts is where he was when the ball was played to him, another inch or 2 closer the passer and the goal would have stood.
