This. Both players were running in to get the ball and they both missed, so you could argue it was an assault by VVD on Jordan. The way everyone is going on you might think VVD had been stretchered off with a multiple fracture rather than walking off.
I can just imagine the fume on here if Jordan hadn't gone for it and a goal resulted!!!! And as someone else has pointed out, if it had been down at the other end between Keane and Adrian, with Keane being the one injured, I'm sure all the critics would be blaming him not Adrian (goalkeepers need to be protected from reckless players running in on goal blah blah blah etc etc).

I've had some time to think about this and I'm starting to get worried about Liverpool and their fans.. I think we should just do what's right and write to the FA and demand that Liverpool be given the 3 points and that Pickford gets banned for however long it takes VVD to come back, and that VAR in games involving Liverpool is done by Phil Thompson.. will that be enough make them happy?

I think almost everybody would agree Pickford's tackle was a bad one but my god who did he murder, the media have really gone to town on this one after a accidental collision with another player they seem to be want to see Pickford banned for life, it was a poor tackle not murder for goodness sake. Why this crusade against him after which was a mistimed collision. I don't think I have ever seen such an outcry against a player before.
