I don’t get the shouts for Gomes. He needs time and space which is exactly what we don’t have. He’d be a massive passenger in this game, IMO.

....we need possession, we need to keep the ball if we’re to have any chance. Gomes provides that, but it might leave less protection of the back four.

He wasnt great at Arsenal but was surrounded by world class players. Unfortunately doesnt have that here so his own lack of quality stsnds out.

Its not a terrible attitude, footballers get paid a mint and they can't even pass a ball to a team mate without turning over possession. But yeah it's my prerogative super blue you are like. If you can't out play them at least win the physical battles, we can't even do that.
