Pleased with our performance. We are a lot more zippy this season and move forward with a sense of purpose. We marginally lost against the best team in the league - who battered Chelsea not so long ago. Heads up. We will win most games if we play like this - especially with a range of options from the bench + new signings.

One of very few people on this forum with a bit of common sense.

Probably the best team we'll play all season and until they got their second we could have nicked something. Still, I would have liked Gerry earlier, maybe for Barry with Cleverly going to CM. Browning didn't do too bad

The only thing I can complain about is it is disappointing that they never even had to get out of 2nd gear to win as easily as they did. Sign of a very good team I hope and not that we aren't that good. Coming weeks and months will answer that.

massive difference second half but we had a fifth choice leftback out there which they completely exploited, and lets face it when they hit this kind of rhythm they are so much better than Chelsea. Silva was fantastic. Would be nice to have someone half as good in that role. We just can't rely on Lukaku holding it up, the ball iscoming straight back at us

I don't think we were too bad, they are just a 400m side and Favs to win the league.

But I'm not going to put up with Gerry and Mirallas sat on the bench much longer, game changers them two.

Honestly David Silva has just put on a play making master class. He's about 5 steps ahead of everybody on the pitch which is why whenever we surrounded him he somehow would just thread a pass right through us.

As good as Barkley has been so far I think Silva has just shown him it's not about physicality or even beating you man it's all about how you see the game. We aren't going to be able to afford a player on Silva's level but we desperately need somebody who can operate in a similar way.

Unless you are a supporter of Mansky City, Mansky Utd, Arseskynal or Chelskysea, then your season is simply one of nothingness. Liverskypool have delusions of grandure, but very little chance of winning anything. Sky has bolloxed footy for me, and I simply CBA anymore.

The overall performance wasn't that bad. A couple of players weren't their best but city are just an outstanding side.

They have 6 athletes who can run all day and 4 nimble, lightning quick players who can tear a ream apart

There movement off the ball is unbelievable as is there ability to press and get players behind the ball when they loose it.

Mirallas sitting on the bench all game, despite us chasing a goal? Del brought on with 5 mins to go? Poor decision making from the manager today helped contribute. Two players of that calibre sat on the bench, when Kone plays 60 mins and Naismith 30. Disgrace.

Del looking short of football, hope he plays whole game v Barnsley .

Not sure why Mirellas didn't come on, I agree there.

this.

We didn't lose because we let in soft goals, we lost because we didn't press enough that resulted in opportunity for the soft goals.

You gave to ask what was the point of playing two defensive midfiekders when City were attacking our back line at will.

City have been extremely good today. Almost German in their efficiency. Every player done their job as needs to be done.

Unfortunately we haven't helped ourselves at all, Howard being a tit, Kone offering literally nothing, Martinez not being reactive to anything, their exploit of our left or making reactive subs to try and change the game, having absolutely no width and being too slow in building up our attacks once again.

The same Howard who kept us in the game for 70+ minutes?

They were just too good. But why just wait until they scored again ? Delofeuo and mirallas surely needed to come on after their goal.

Final pass was poor as well.
Totally agree had to go for broke & put on natural wingers to give some width
