Being from Manchester I spent a fair few nights on the Kippax with my mates who were all City fans in the 70’s and 80’s if Everton didn’t have a game....most famously the City v Luton game when Pleat penguined onto the pitch. That was a great stadium Maine Road.....dangerous for an away supporter with all the ginnells and alleyways.

I was at that game mate. I was in the kippax next to the cage and there was a big hard looking Mohican haired Luton fan only a few yard away in their section. Next minute someone threw a dart and it stuck in his forehead. Maine road was not away fan friendly in those days, as Goodison wasn't either.
