For me I am worried about the legs. DCL is knackered. Richie problem won’t be able to play this weekend. I hate defeats like this in the cup. The biggest game for this season is Sheffield on the weekend. Can this team pick themselves up and get straight back to winning ways.
Will tell us alot about the mindset of these players, Sheffield United will be chomping at the bit to have a go at us and get first win of the season. Hopefully we have it in us to lift it as we have city 2 days after which is the last thing we need in hectic schedule.

Needs to rotate, Holgate back for Coleman who shouldn't be playing a full 90 coming back from injury. Davies to start. Hopefully James starts and Gordon gets a run.

We have to play Tosun soon it looks like. This is where we are buggered.

Mate from minute 1 you knew United would score late on just to make it extra painful

Yup, every single time. Ticked all the boxes, didn't show up, had some injustice that we didn't use in any way shape or form to our advantage and then conceded a late goal and then another one for good measure as we love to do that too.

We managed to silence 2,000 fans who had not watched a live game for nine months after about 20 minutes with out inept performance. Takes some doing that.

It had nothing to do with mentallity. We were outplayed, full stop. Our total lack of pace was painful to watch. We must have the 5-6 slowest midfielders in the premier league. It doesn't matter how many players Carlo buys, if he keeps on buying players without pace.

TBF it does, albeit slightly indirectly. Bernard, and Tosun know they aren't staying here for any length of time; they have no reason to do anything. Gomes knows he is never going to start when Allan is fit, the same goes for Iceland as well.

Gordon, Nkounkou and other young players (JJK included) would have a reason to play, so they should. If we'd lost 0-2 and played kids I'd be disappointed but far less than I am now.
