We havent been givin the credit we deserve for the way we played on Sunday, yes UTD didnt turn up but Everton were stunning, the way the media are going on about how bad UTD were makes it sound like they were shocking and got beat by a team they could of defeated if they had tried.

We were never ever going to get any press here mate.

Yep. The press love a narrative, and the Moyes story is the best one around at the moment.

pretty pitiful isn't it?

surely little old everton who were made by david moyes overcoming all the odds to beat him twice has a fairytale sort of tang to it.

or little old everton who were seemingly only good because of david moyes, but proved that he was holding us back as we did the double over him?

i could go on, ha.

That's it. The narrative they prefer are the rise-and-fall type stories of individuals.

The narrative I prefer is the one that says a club:

- on sale for over 10 years with no buyer in sight
- bottom of the league in terms of net spend
- top of the league in terms of injuries
- never qualified for Champions League (proper) before

is battling for that coveted 4th spot, and there's even talk of a crack at the title next season.

In the era of money-money-money, this is surely an epic story.

Boys' own stuff!

Apparently It was Roberto's tactics to let them have so much possession and hit them with breaks and it worked. If Naismith had shot better should have been at least 4-0.

Yep, RM knew exactly what he was doing.

Great we have a tactician as a manager and not just a manager who worries about how well our strikers can defend!
