Blind also doubtful so their preferred midfield formation will likely be upset. McNair did well against Lukaku at Old Trafford so they might chose him instead of Evans to partner Smalling.

McCarthy rejoins training for us today which is good news, hope he can make the match.

Edit just been looking at Redcafe and Blind is also in training so unfortunately he'll probably be fit enough to start on Saturday which would mean they could play Rooney as their striker rather than the misfiring Falcao/RVP.

Was a big factor in the meeting earlier in the season, De Ge made some superb saves in that game especially the one from Oviedo, would have been so nice to have heard his chant ring around Old Trafford for the second season in a row.
