I'll be pleasantly surprised if Stones and Barkley are still Everton players in about a year or so.

Because the chances are they won't be.
Even though he's an Evertonian, I'm more inclined to to believe that it's far more likely that Ross may go before John; if they leave at all.

As I mentioned earlier, John seems an extremely level-headed young man who is thriving and flourishing here. To leave may jeopardise that.

Right now he is pretty much guaranteed a start, as he's part of our first choice partnership, while beginning to look like a real 'vice' captain.

Long term replacement for Terry is a possibility, but would he get a game soon? Terry is still going strong; Cahill isn't too shabby; no Zouma?

Citeh are a shambles and with how many player prospects who've gone there and declined, I'd hope he would not risk it.

It would be more likely for him to find a role at Arsenal or Manure, but again would they let him develop and flourish as he could here?

I'm not saying he'll commit his whole career to Everton (although I certainly hope he does), however in the medium term I think he'll stay.

Ross seems like a lad who'll be much easier swayed by big money and fickle promises.

Disgusting United fans during the minute silence.

Much as I despise them and their glory-hunting hordes, from where I was sat it looked like vast, vast majority of them were willing to and did observe the minutes silence. It appeared to be the booze hungry clowns still around the bar areas who were making the noise, presumably in ignorance of the minutes silence.

Just wondering what this is based on?
Although I do not know Ross personally, I know people who've known him all his life, and there's a few mumbles that his head is being swayed.

Not to the point of leaving the club in the near future or owt, but just stuff that his usually down to Earth nature is beginning to dwindle.

One remark was that 'he is beginning to believe his own hype': looks down his nose at people; refused to sign a young kids shirt at a game.

Based on all that, in my humble opinion I'd be more worried that big clubs would turn his head. But what do I know so we'll just have to see.

Don't forget about the club policy of selling our best young players if the price is right. That's really what I was basing it on rather than the players themselves, though of course you have to factor in what the player wants nowadays.

A couple of weeks ago he made one kids day when he gave him his shirt

And then posed for a picture with the same kid after training a few days later.

Perhaps Ross was just in a rush?

jeez, man united fans are pretty sore losers. why are they blaming the ref? can't think of one decision he made that influenced the game.

Everton = bunch if animals with rabies chasing the ball, park the bus with 8+ players in the box when under attack. Turds. Worse that maureeninho.

this is just brilliant. tears taste yummy kind of good. it's as if people expect every single team in the world to have the same game plan of dominate possession, shots and the game. jeez, we set up perfectly and won the game with ease, get over it you cry baby.
