Hopefully saving Allan, DCL and James for the derby, which'd be fair.

Grim XI, but King and James on the bench are potentially two good subs to bring on.

With the side we've got out mate I jist can't see us winning the coin toss. I hope to be proved wrong though but I've just got a sinking feeling they'll make us kick to the street end 1st half and it'll be backs to the Park End from then on.
You never know . The whole season has been weird . Strange results all over the place . We’ll somehow be winning and the floodlights will fail

Don’t even mind the team, when we’ve played Sigurdsson #10 against good sides we’ve tended to do alright (Chelsea, Arsenal, Spurs in cup, Leicester, Leeds).

Think we need someone who will be able to man Mark Rodri and stop them playing through us, see how much space Harrison Reed had, the contrast against Leeds at Goodison when we gave Phillips the freedom of Stanley park, then at Elland Road when Sigurdsson stopped the ball going through him.

Not saying he’s good Gylfi, but he plays that role better than anyone in the squad in games we won’t have the ball much, he’s just awful in games we have more of the ball and have to break teams down when they’re in shape

Gylfi takes the false 9 concept to an extreme. He actually doesnt play the role of a 9, false or anything. So its like we just play without a striker. we have wingers who can cut in or cross but there won't be anyone there to put it away except the winger from the other side. King must be totally out of shape or unfancied by Carlo. Or perhaps Carlo has sussed that our league position is not as important as the derby hoodoo and is saving them all!

Bar James, I think it'd have been the team I'd have played (minus Allan obviously).

Carlo confirmed yesterday that DCL wouldn't be back for today.
